Day 1: Yogyakarta Arrival
Welcome to Yogyakarta, the city of traditional art and cultural alluring!
Today, your local guide of Yogyakarta travel packages will welcome you at the arrival hall of the airport, then transfer to the city center to have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, enjoy a short break and then we will proceed for a visit to Prambanan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site & is one of the largest Hindu temples in South East Asia. Marvel at its fascinating architecture and listen to your guide about the temple's history and interesting facts.
Later on, transfer to your hotel for check-in.
Day 2: Yogyakarta – Borobudur – Mt Merapi Travel
After breakfast this morning, start the day with a visit to Borobudur – the world’s largest Buddhist temple. Borobudur Temple is the world’s largest Buddhist Temple. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple consists of 9 stacked platforms, six square & three circulars, topped by a central dome. Built in the 9th century, the monument has an extensive system of stairways & corridors with 1460 narrative relief panels on the walls and the balustrades.
After lunch, we will proceed to Cakringan – a village on the slope of Mount Merapi which was totally destroyed after the last great eruption of Merapi in 2010. From here you can behold the scenic views of Merapi. We will stop at the Mt Merapi viewpoint to gaze out at the spectacular beauty of the site.
Day 3: Yogyakarta City Tour
Today is a full day for you to explore the city of Yogyakarta itself. Meet your guide at 9.00 am and make your way to Sultanate Palace, the magnificent palace of Kraton of Yogyakarta. This is the must-see attraction for any tourists traveling to Yogyakarta to discover the Javanese architecture and its important role in the Indonesian sea spirit.
Next up, head to Kasongan Village where you will learn more about ceramic and pottery handicrafts. Before lunch, visit Manding Village – the center of the leather.
Following your afternoon sightseeing with a visit to Malioboro Street where you can get a glimpse at the hectic pace of the local life. Gain more insight as you visit Beringarjo Traditional Market and see the daily trading of the local people.
Day 4: Yogyakarta Departure
