Day 1: Jakarta Arrival - Starting Jakarta Holiday Packages
Selamat dating! Welcome to Jakarta – the megalopolis of Indonesia. Today, meet your guide at the airport and then we transfer to the hotel for check-in, and begin an amazing Indonesia trip.
Day 2: Jakarta City Tour
A full day to discover Jakarta in-depth. After breakfast, follow your guide to discover some of Jakarta’s interesting museums such as Wayang Museum (puppetry), BalaiSeniRupa (fine arts) and Maritime Museums to learn more about the country. If you want to gain an overview of the country, don’t miss the National Museum which displays a huge collection of archeology, history, ethnology, and geography of Indonesia.
Next up, head to Si Jaguar – an old Portuguese cannon which shows the special design of a clenched fist “Mano in fica”, a symbol of cohabitation in Indonesia. Later on, witness the National Monument – the spirit of the Indonesian people.
Day 3: Jakarta - Pangandaran
Say goodbye to Jakarta this morning to take a scenic train ride to Pangandaran, a small fishing village that is the best place for a coastal escape. On arrival, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. You can take some leisure walk to gaze out at the local life.
Day 4: Pangandaran
After breakfast, start the day with a visit to the local market to check out the produce and home industries such as palm sugar, rice cracker production and the famous Javanese Wayan golek (traditional wooden puppets).
Next up, continue to the Green Canyon where you will hop aboard and travel upriver through superb jungle scenery. Make a stop for a swim-up in the green water. You can also meet and interact with the local people as well. Finally, make your way to the nearby beach where to enjoy scrumptious lunch and swim in the afternoon.
Day 5: Pangandaran - Yogyakarta
This morning, head inland by private minibus before catching a train to Yogyakarta – the cultural heart of Java. On arrival, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6: Yogyakarta
Rise before dawn this morning to catch the morning light at Borobudur Temple – the largest Buddhist structure on earth. Set in a tranquil park, the magnificent World heritage site is an enigmatic temple looming amongst the tropical foliage.
After lunch, spend your afternoon time at leisure. You might take an excursion to the largest Hindu complex in Java – Prambanan Temple. If you want to catch a performance of the epic Ramayana Ballet at the temple, tell in advance with your tour leader to check the date and availability.
Day 7: Yogyakarta
Today will be an exciting day as you take a cycling trip through the rice fields and countryside surrounding Yogyakarta. See the locals in the area making various goods, from bricks to tofu. Passing through the palm and lush green grasslands, you have an opportunity to take many beautiful photos of the burst of yellow and pink flowers by the side of the road and see the slow-paced of local life.
This afternoon, join in a cooking class to learn about Indonesian cuisine or salute the sun with a yoga class.
Day 8: Yogyakarta Departure - End of Jakarta holiday packages
